3:15 - 4:50 - Delivering Communications During a Crisis
In today’s world, communications teams must be prepared to respond to and deliver important, potentially life-saving messages during crisis situations, especially in the aftermath of a mass shooting. Effective crisis communications are crucial in ensuring public safety, managing public perception, and promoting healing in affected communities.

In this session, attendees will hear from professionals with the City of Highland Park, IL who will speak about their experience during the tragic mass shooting that occurred in their community on July 4 of 2022. They will share best practices for delivering communications during a crisis, including executing a crisis communications plan, communicating with the media, responding to public inquiries and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Following the conference, enjoy a cocktail and conversation in the Old Post Office Snorklebox bar
