Marnie Schubert currently serves as the Chief Marketing & Public Information Officer for the Town of Queen Creek, a growing Arizona community. Her responsibilities include serving as spokesperson for all Town departments and the Town Council, coordinating all Web resources, including highly successful sites on Facebook and Twitter, and implementing the community's tourism campaign, designed to increase sales tax dollars by attracting new visitors to the area.
Before working for the town, she served as Director of Communications for the community of Celebration, Florida, recognized as “The town that Disney built.” Prior to that role, Marnie was the Product Marketing Manager for Florida Today/USA Today in Florida, where she earned two silver ADDY awards. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, with a bachelor's degree in radio/television communications.
Marnie has served as an international spokesperson for communities across multi-media platforms; edited and published 100+ page monthly and quarterly newspapers for communities; developed and implemented tourism marketing campaigns which drastically increased the visibility and income of communities; and negotiated strategic community partnerships with local and national organizations such as the Disney Company, ESPN and PetSmart.
